Vapers kick Ash -The Vape life- E4

Happy Sunday to everyone out there in Vapeland!

the vape life

the Vape life season 1

We are already at the one-month milestone with our vape life participants!  One month of vaping for Kelli and Justin Combs…  that’s a really huge deal!

For those that don’t know, Kelli and Justin were both pack-a-day smokers before they committed to vaping.  Kelli was ready and wanted to quit by switching to vaping.  She had tried vaping before and really liked it.  Justin is a different story.  He didn’t even know he wanted to quit smoking until Kelli mentioned trying to quit with vaperskickash.com.

Justin struggled at first with the switch.   He has said that he was looking at vaping as a direct replacement for smoking, but has since learned that it isn’t a direct replacement, it’s so much better than that.

Both Kelli and Justin are completely smoke-free and sincerely enjoy vaping far more than they ever enjoyed smoking.

Congratulations Kelli and Justin Combs!

I asked our participants about their experience so far…

“Everything is going really well.  I do feel like I’m going through a lot of liquid right now.  My go-to flavor seems to get used up quickly.  BUT, it’s after ten in the morning and I haven’t even picked my vape up to puff on it yet… Justin is doing well, too.  We don’t even think about smoking now.” -Kelli Combs

Vaping has been a game changer for these ex-smokers.  It’s nice to be able to say that you no longer smoke without that little voice reminding you of how much you’d like to be smoking.  I am a firm believer that Vaping saves lives.

I am very proud of Kelli and Justin.  I couldn’t wait to start this series and they have made my job easy.  They make quitting smoking look like the cakewalk that I believe it to be.  I hope that their experience can inspire many others to make the switch.  If you are a smoker that would like to quit, please contact nicki@vaperskickash.com.

We have a new Vape Life participant!

Our first participants will continue giving us updates and let us know any tips or mishaps along the way.  Now that they are settled into vaping, we are ready to introduce our next participant!

We are pleased to welcome Buddy Freeze to the vaping community!

I had mentioned Buddys’ wife, Jen, a few weeks ago.  Kelli had brought her down to Village Vapors after she expressed her interest in vaping.  Jen bought some equipment and started vaping.  She was still smoking an occasional cigarette with her husband and felt that if he began vaping, it might help them both give up smoking.  Buddy decided he wanted to try it out for himself.

I met with Buddy and Jen at Village Vapors this week to get him a starter kit and spend some time at the vape bar to pick out some liquid.  This will be his first week as a vaper.  Get ready for the interview, Buddy!  We will hear from him next week, so don’t forget to come back and see how he did!

Don’t forget to visit our friends at Village Vapors.  They aren’t just our generous sponsors for the Vape Life, they are also experienced vapers that can answer all of your vaping questions while giving you expert service, equipment, and masterful liquids.  Village Vapors has a full Vape Bar that’s packed with a HUGE assortment of liquids to try before you buy!

And now, for this weeks’ “Interview with a Vaper”-

This week, we spoke to Richie W about vaping.  He was given our standard questionnaire to fill out and was kind

enough to oblige!  Read on to see what he had to say.

1. How long have you been vaping?
I have been vaping for 7 months.
2. Did you quit smoking right away or continue to use both cigarettes and vapes?
I didn’t quit right away. It took about 2 weeks of reducing the number of cigarettes daily. After one week I had reduced from 20 per day to 10.
3. Do you currently smoke? If yes, how much?
I no longer smoke cigarettes!
4. Did you experience withdrawal symptoms when you switched to vaping?
Some withdrawal at first but I was missing the habit of lighting up not the taste or smell!
5. What was the hardest thing about switching to vaping?
Convincing myself that I could make the change after so many failed attempts to quit
6. Did you notice any health benefits by switching to vaping?
7. Do you think of vaping as a great way to quit smoking?
Yes. At work, 6 months ago, 8 out of 10 in the smoke shelter were smokers. Now it is 7 out of 10 vaping with the others seriously considering taking it up.
8. Do you see yourself vaping 3 months from now? A year?
I can see myself vaping in 3 months but I would hope to have quit in a years time and save even more money.
9. What would you say to someone considering switching from cigarettes to vaping?
Find a flavour you like (it took me a little while to settle on a flavour). Invest in premium vaping equipment – not the cheap stuff.
10. What kind of equipment did you start vaping on and what do you use now?
I started with cheap, disposable equipment but I couldn’t get a decent hit. I now use the Innokin coolfire 4 plus battery and an iSub S tank. Cost £55 on Amazon (best 55 quid I’ve ever spent!).
11. Do you consider yourself an informed vaper?
I am definitely more informed now. I didn’t know anything about it when I started.
12. Do you enjoy any of the hobby aspects to vaping, like building, cloud chasing, or DIY liquids?
I like bigger clouds! I find I vape less with a higher VG as it gives a better hit.
13. Favorite brand or flavor of liquid?
Not sure if it is a UK only brand but my favourite is Hoodlum by Fogg Life. It’s a fruity menthol combo.
14. What do you say when someone tells you that vaping is bad for you?
Not as bad as smoking! My health and bank balance have improved significantly!
Thank you, Richie!  I really appreciate that you took the time to answer our questions.  You never know who could be inspired to quit smoking because of your answers…  Thanks for participating:)
